Dearest Members of the Fairway Society (GCWGA)

It is with great delight (and just a hint of smug satisfaction) that I announce the 2026 golf season is officially in full swing. The Board convened for its first gathering in January—no doubt full of gravitas and good intentions—and shall reconvene again in February to continue shaping our most promising season yet.

The website, dear reader, shall receive its much-anticipated updates this very weekendassuming, of course, that I am not otherwise occupied celebrating a certain Patriots Super Bowl victory. (One must maintain priorities.)

Yet it has come to my attention that not all among us live quite so gloriously in the moment. Indeed, many of you—our beloved SNOWBIRDS, both those wintering in warmer climates and those merely dreaming of it—prefer to plan your entire golf season before January has even properly introduced itself. Admirable. Meticulous. A talent many of us secretly envy. They should receive a cookie for that, I think.

And so, in the spirit of preparedness (and mild indulgence), I wished to share the 2026 Tournament Schedule, thoughtfully assembled by the ever-capable Dee Oppedisano and our newest Board member, Allison Mayborg. These ladies have worked tirelessly with the Great Courses to ensure a season worthy of anticipation, calendars marked in ink, and perhaps a touch of healthy competition.

A round of applause is most certainly in order—organizing such a schedule is no small feat. Thank you, ladies, for your dedication and diligence.

Do keep an eye on Facebook and the website this weekend for the latest updates. Until then, bundle up, brave the chill, and stay warm, dear readers.

And as for the promised cookie?
It shall be awarded to the first member spotted planning her season in January, clubs polished, calendar marked, and optimism fully intact. One must reward such admirable devotion.

Yours truly,
The Lady of the Links
