The first Comisar Cup competitions, played using a Stableford format, drew 50 participants at Kenwood on June 27-28, the first two days after

By Mark Schmetzer Lori Roberts believes one reason Hamilton Elks Country Club has enjoyed a recent run of success in Greater Cincinnati Women’s Golf Association events is softball. She and many of her teammates on the Elks played the sport growing up. “I really think it helps your hand-eye coordination.” Robert said. Roberts served as captain for the Elks team that pulled away from Kenwood Country Club to win the Division I-level championship of the five-event GCWGA Fall Team tournament. Crystal Bowl At Camargo A Big Success

By Mark Schmetzer A few years ago, Bev Weeks walked up to Patti Horne at a golf event and said, “You know, you look a lot like a sorority sister of mine, Marcia Guest.” Horne replied, “That’s because she’s my sister. Spring Team Wrap up

By Mark Schmetzer Linda Coffey really can’t put her finger on why her Hamilton Elks squad has become THE standard for Division I Spring Team competition. “I don’t know,” the team captain said. “We just show up and play well, I suppose. We are just steady golfers.” Hamilton Elks has reached a level not approached in the Greater Cincinnati Women’s Golf Association since Kenwood Country Club won seven straight Spring Team Division I championships from 1987 through 1993.
