High Kent Winners

By Mark Schmetzer Sandy Stuckert and her Wetherington Golf & Country Club teammates were surprised to be recognized as winners of this year’s High Kent Low Gross tournament at Oasis Golf Club. Why? “We were originally announced as the second-place Low Net winners,” Stuckert, the team captain, said. “We actually went up for them to present us the Low Net awards. 2019 Cincinnati Metropolitan Championship

Stipanovich, playing at Hyde Park Golf and Country Club out of Terrace Park Country Club, earned her second Metropolitan Women’s Amateur Tournament championship in the 104th edition of the event on July 22-23. GCWGA Scholarship Winners Receive Certificates

by Melanie Stewart The nine winners of this year's GCWGA Scholarship were presented with their certificates at the Low & High Kent Tournaments again this year. Alexandra Schutte, Lauren Abner and Maddie Owens attended the Low Kent held at the Heritage Club, and Heather Bruck, K.C. Bell, Samantha Skarda, Bree Wilson and Rachelle Soh attended the High Kent held at the Oasis Club. Julia Breckinridge could not attend either event and received her certificate separately. 2019 Low Kent Winners

By Mark Schmetzer Lynn Thompson, Janice Kunkemoeller and their Low Kent teammates had plenty of reasons to be pleased with how their June 27th went at Heritage Country Club. Topping the list? Their win in the Low Gross half of the tournament. Thompson and her O’Bannon Creek Golf mate, Holly Jones, and Kunkemoeller and her Terrace Park Country Club partner, Nancy Decenso, teamed up to shoot a combined 154 and ease past the Hamilton Elks Golf Club foursome of Vicki Felver, Linda Coffey, Hilda Hodges and Lori Roberts.
