Foundation Day
In support of the Junior Scholarship Fund, the GCWGA
member clubs will hold a "foundation day" event. The 4
lowest net scores will make up a team that will
represent their club in the Scholarship Foundation

INFO FOR GOLF CHAIRS REGARDING FOUNDATION DAY AND GCWGA SCHOLARSHIP CHAMPIONSHIP – September 23, 2008
- When you (or your club pro)
collect the $10.00 contribution for the Scholarship
Fund at your Foundation Day club event, you should
send a check (or checks) payable to the GCWGA
Scholarship Foundation. It should be sent to Lynne
Lamacchia, Treasurer, GCWGA, 3722 Broadview Dr.,
Cincinnati, OH 45208.
- When you (or your golf shop)
put together your Foundation Day event, please be sure
that everyone plays to 95% of their handicap and that
no one plays with more than 36 strokes. This will
provide the same playing criteria as the Championship
at Stonelick Hills.
- When the entry form for the
Championship is put together, someone on the team
should be appointed (or volunteer) to be the team
captain. She will be the person responsible for
collecting the $67.50 entry from each of her teammates
and then sending a check to Susan Arnold, 6151
Woodlark Dr., Cincinnati, OH 45230.
- In the event that any of your 4
lowest net qualifiers cannot play in the Championship,
you should take the next lowest player from your
qualifier.
- Note that if the Championship
cannot be played due to rain, the $67.50 will be
returned to each entrant. The $10.00 contribution
from the Foundation Day event will not be returned.
- If you have any questions, you
can contact Susan Arnold at
darnold2@fuse.net or Gayle Hauser at
Makchamp1@msn.com. Both are members of the Long
Range Planning Committee, organizer of these events.
