2019 Spring Team Results

By Mark Schmetzer Sally Leyman is as realistic as the rest of the Greater Cincinnati Women’s Golf Association members who participate in the annual Spring Team competition. Leyman is captain of the Camargo Club team that edged Miami View by a half point to finish second in Spring Team Division I play, 19 points behind perennial-champion Hamilton Elks, which has become so dominant that the rest of the field has adopted a new approach to the competition. GCWGA Announces Scholarship Winners for 2019

In 2006 the Greater Cincinnati Women’s Golf Association established a scholarship fund which grants a one-time scholarship each year to local female high school seniors to pursue higher education. The applicants must meet a range of qualifications and the recipients are selected on the basis of academic achievement, excellence of character, community service and involvement in the sport of golf. Since its inception 101 scholarships have been awarded totaling $134,000 to young women across the Greater Cincinnati / Northern Kentucky area. Cincinnati Legend of Golf – Judy Hayes

By Mark Schmetzer Judy Diem Hayes has compiled an impressive list of accomplishments in her 71 years of playing golf, but she needed 70 of them to log one of her proudest moments.
